urbanization

my first time bajaj
my first time busway
my first time living in a semi bronx area
my first time ... too many to mention!

it's been a week i live in jakarta to run my obligation as an internship at institut francais indonesia. new office, new friends, meeting different character of people, totally new ambiance, clumsy me odd situation. i  really enjoy my everyday life walking out the gang using polkadot umbrella, catching bajaj to office and sitting on it. this is my first time using public transportation such bajaj and busway. it take courage as i never use public transportation as my main transportation on daily.  paranoid me. even adjusting with new ambiance is not my thing but i'm working on it. thrilling, stressful yet exciting! there's so many odd, quirky, hilarious, ridiculous details i found within this time.

above all things, i am so grateful to be given chance to join the production team for PF 2013, to encounter the city i've always avoided to. feel the new experience. though not so young anymore ;)

i hope it runs smooth and well. ok, there must be obstacles, barriers, problems - whatever it called, but hope i can pass it nicely.

beautiful people

i'm so glad surrounded by smart, beautiful, talented, humble people. even they have everything on their life but feet stay on the ground. it bother me much making friends or dealing with snob people. always keep in mind: above this sky there is another sky and above sky another and so on.

are you happy now?

so i choose law aspects and business ethics class for my elective subject on the second semester. i like the way the lecture teaches, it's very clear and structured as i don't have basic knowledge on law she makes it easy to understand.

on one of the topics, we discussed about negotiation in order to make an agreement. the class was divided into two large groups and each group was divided again into two small groups (first party and the second one) to make a negotiation simulation. the goal was to show how to negotiate. the week after, we made another simulation to show the class about points to discuss during the negotiation process to be written on the agreement, NOT how to negotiate.

and... what i learned from both of it was just not the tips and tricks on a negotiation. apparently the character of each person showed through the simulation, whether (s)he's stubborn, complicate the other party, mean and all of the bad qualities of the person. i don't mean to judge, but the situation made me really realized that if a person was in a decision-maker, needed, beneficial, powerful position but in the real life they don't or never, they tend to complicate the situation. understandable.

and the silly thing from the second simulation was in the end the class got nothing on learning but watching few people stood on their ego for something that not even exist. enuf said.
